Nightingale Sleep is
is
a collection of Ron Dakron's poetry from the years 1982-1988. These poems
showcase the sensuality and raw power which infuses all his work.
Two Poems from
Given
Nightingale Sleep
Madonna
stars like lice
crawled through my hair
in marble garbage europe
I sucked black sky flux
it spattered cherub radar
ruins burnt green mascara
across my whore mouth
in a piss athens alley
crackling bums danced with icons
our gold smog mother
our varicose sparkler
madonna
forget her
I cupped brutal coffee
and slammed into dark
spitting stars like tumors

Don't Play
With Human Flames
your mind clashes
with her decor
polyglot rayon tricked into anthrax motifs
when her bra hits the floor
she smells like goldleaf
whispering teeth
it's that pink dachau game
don't play with human flames
your sharkskin hunger
again ooooo
chews mucus beach
she writhes like a birch
split with sky
her eucharist fingers
chime your back
it's time to lie
where eyes milk up
then dusk away
like toxic suns
where ashes and lips
snow onto throats
echoing lost
what's it cost?
ask the guys in the burn ward
if fire has a name
don't play with human flames
